What is Roar Festival?
Roar is a music festival with a whole lot of heart. Imagine everything you love about an afternoon at summer camp: cozy blankets, Muskoka chairs, your friends laughing by your side, the sun shining overhead, plus six of your newest favourite bands playing nearby. Along with music that will tug at your heartstrings, Roar will host a bouncing castle for the kids, an array of food trucks, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, arts and crafts, and other madcap activities that will make you feel like you’re at camp again for the day. The festival will happen rain or shine, so keep an eye on the weather and check here for updates!
Why is Roar happening?
Roar will raise money for Camp Ooch, an amazing camp in Muskoka where kids with cancer can spend two weeks of their summer. Along with a sleep-away camp, where kids affected by cancer can make great friends, experience the joys of outdoor activities, and gain confidence and strength, Camp Ooch offers family programs in Toronto, family camping weekends away from the city, and teen leadership programs that even include a hiking expedition on Georgian Bay’s Bruce Trail. Camp Ooch has been running for more than 30 years, and it’s the only camp of its kind in Ontario. With your help, we can do our part to give Ooch another 30 years.
